Earthworks Farm observes the César Chávez Day on March 31 each year. The Farm welcomes the community to celebrate the day through joining our organic farming workshops that promote healthy eating and active living.

Cesar Chavez – A migrant farm worker from the age of 10 became active with the Community Service Organization and his commitment to social justice and respect for human dignity. He employed nonviolent means to bring attention to the plight of farm workers, and formed both the National Farm Workers Association, which later became United Farm Workers.

“There are many reasons for why a man does what he does. To be himself he must be able to give it all. If a leader cannot give it all he cannot expect his people to give anything.”
Cesar E. Chavez
